Hi, I’m Curly.

I’m a 40-something working stiff that lives in a silly town somewhere in a forest on the west coast of the US.  Raised in Idaho, work brought me here after two decades stranded in the desert with Space Jesus and the hippies. For most of the week, I do stuff, get paid, and then go home or out into the streets armed with intense curiosity, my camera, a selection of glass, a fancy pen, some bougie notebooks, and my razor-sharp wit.

I’ve enjoyed story telling (in various forms and across several mediums) for as log as I can remember, an art that is allegedly dying. Thankfully, yours truly resides in a silly land full of absurdity, in a town with a truly beautiful and strange collection of people, landscapes, and architecture to gawk at and tell stories of. 

You’ve found your way to my internet home for tales of wayward adventure, including my photography and writing. I enjoy telling stories that entertain, spark thought, provoke the imagination, and–if we’re all lucky–snatch your breath right out of your chest. This site is my chronicle of wanton art across various media, my portfolio, and a reference library for some of my nerdy fun.

It’s sad that we live in the 21st century, and I need to say this, but:
I wholeheartedly believe that Black lives matter, Science is real, Vaccinations and Masks save lives, Gay / Trans rights are human rights, lawful Immigrants are welcome, sex work is real, valid work, the election(s) were not stolen, and that pineapple belongs on pizza.

Please note that a bit of what I write about here is raw, visceral stuff that came out of intense experiences or environments and may be regarded as ‘not nice’, ‘mean’, ‘Insensitive’, or ‘unprofessional’. There are also a variety of adult themes and subject matter on my site and within my body of work. I am not willing to sacrifice my authenticity to cater to your delicate sensitivities. You should give up any crazy ideas you might have about me lacking the right to be excited, stressed, annoyed, disgusted, sad, fearful, or exhibit any other human emotion.
